Spring Has Sprung

Now that the weather is nice and much warmer, I’m getting the itch to do some antenna work. Just now starting to inventory the Steve Weber Dual Band rig I bought last year at FDIM. Also have a DC-40B already inventoried and ready for some solder fumes to be made.

Hope to get a larger loop up this summer, a two meter beam for SSB and CW work this next fall, and I want to put up a long wire (maybe 400 to 500 feet) and see what it will do. Not sure if we will be RV’ing a lot this summer so maybe I will actually get some projects done around here.

Just finished up a beta build of a new kit to be announced soon by the Four State QRP Club. This is a really cool idea, so much in fact that once it goes to production I want to order a couple to have on-hand here at the QTH.
